Sarah Palin‘s eldest daughter Bristol Palin is engaged to Medal of Honor recipient, Sgt. Dakota Meyer. She (and we) thought you might like to know:
In a blog post, Palin revealed that she has been dating the Marine since he came to Alaska last year to film an episode of her mother’s reality show, Amazing Alaska.
“He’s wonderful with Tripp and I’m so proud to be marrying him,” she wrote. “He’s so romantic! He asked me to marry him at a Rascal Flatts concert. The lead singer, Gary LeVox, dedicated ‘Bless the Broken Road’ to us, and then Dakota got down on one knee and proposed!”
Shockingly, Sarah Palin is yet to weigh in on the news on her Facebook page.
UPDATE — 2:27 p.m. ET: If Meyer looks familiar, it may be because you saw him in this photo, holding up a poster that reads “FUC_ YOU, MICHAEL MOORE” with Palin at a recent event in Las Vegas. The Marine posted the photo to Facebook earlier this year following Michael Moore’s controversial comments about the film American Sniper:
