Dylan Farrow Ruins Justin Timberlake Over His #TimesUp Hypocrisy With Perfect Tweet
Dylan Farrow recently sat for an interview with Gayle King of CBS, and discussed the molestation allegations she has levied against her father, famous director Woody Allen.
Farrow has also upped her presence on Twitter in recent weeks, usually posting on behalf of sexual abuse survivors or in support of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements.
That’s where she came to virtual blows with singer and actor Justin Timberlake — who took to the social media site to pose a simple question to his 65 million followers.
“Random question: Can someone please explain the saying, “You just want your cake and to eat it too,'” he wrote. “What else am I about to do with a cake??”
Farrow chimed in with an absolutely blistering take, alluding to the fact that Timberlake recently starred in Wonder Wheel, written and directed by Woody Allen, and still wore a #TimesUp pin to the Golden Globes ceremony.
The saying means, for example, you can’t support #TIMESUP and praise sexual predators at the same time. You can’t retain your credibility as an activist (i.e. – retain the cake) and, at the same time, praise a sexual predator (i.e. – eating the cake).

Timberlake followed up his original tweet with a joke, suggesting that it was a moot point, after all, since he prefers pie.
Also… I prefer pie, I think.

Many actors who have worked with Allen in the past, including Greta Gerwig and Colin Firth, have stated they will not collaborate with him in the future.
