Eagles of Death Metal Announce Paris Show & New Tour: ‘We Look Forward to Coming Back’
Eagles of Death Metal announced its rescheduled European tour, including a return to Paris to finish the set that was tragically cut short by the Paris attacks in November.
Billboard reports the band will play a new show at the Olympia Theatre on Feb. 16, 2016. Concert goers from the Bataclan show on Friday Nov. 13, where 89 people were shot and killed by gunmen, can attend the new concert for free if desired.
In a statement on its website, the band praised the city and promised fans that not finishing the set “was never an option”:
“The people of Paris have always been incredible to us, and our feeling of love towards this beautiful city and its people has been reinforced a million times over this past month. Hearing the stories of the survivors, the injured and those who have lost loved ones has been overwhelming. Not returning to finish our set was never an option. We look forward to coming back in February and continuing our mission to bring rock ‘n’ roll to the world.”
