With the massive viral success of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has come a slew of wannabe imitators, looking for the next big trend that can raise money for the myriad other important causes out there.
The latest trend that seems like it might actually have a chance at catching on is more about raising awareness than money, and it uses the easy-to-remember hashtag #FeelingNuts. While it was actually started back in June by the British organization Check One Two, which aims to get men to check their testicles for potentially cancerous lumps, the #FeelingNuts campaign has recently started to spread to the celebrity set.
English television presenter Rick Edwards nominated comedian Ricky Gervais for the #FeelingNuts challenge earlier this week, which consists on nothing more than taking a photo of yourself grabbing your balls:
I challenge @professorgreen, @phlaimeaux, @alexa_chung and @rickygervais to top my lovely crotch grab #feelingnuts: pic.twitter.com/8CAQz1nrLs

Gervais, in turn accepted, adding a middle finger and challenging Will Arnett, Aaron Paul and Ben Stiller.
.@rickedwards1 Get a load of this! #feelingnuts I nominate @RedHourBen @aaronpaul_8 @arnettwill pic.twitter.com/FL2y1uy0ko
— Ricky Gervais (@rickygervais) August 28, 2014
So far, only Arnett has complied:

But somehow we think there might be a lot more celebrity nut-grabbing in the near future. Especially as summer turns to fall, cupping your balls is going to seem a lot more attractive than dumping ice cold water over your head.
