Earlier, while explaining that a real who’s-who of the Internet and media commentariat were pretty mad at Jimmy Fallon for his too-fun interview with Donald Trump last night, we embedded this tweet from Ken Jennings:
In his defense, Jimmy Fallon just pulled in a 35 share among white supremacists 18-49.

With 219k followers on the microblogging site, the Jeopardy! superstar has an excellent platform from which to promote his various endeavors. He often makes jokes and political statements, sometimes melding doing both at once. Inevitably, this causes backlash from people who believe he should 1. not be political or 2. only be political if he agrees with their specific views.
Today, he demonstrated that he is very much over being told not to tweet about politics or being called dumb. He went ahead and called out a user who barged into his mentions with a critique of the content on his personal account:
This is my favorite kind of @, which I get 2 or 3 of every time I tweet a joke about politics. pic.twitter.com/4equngTPmH

Lizzy, nobody in America OF EITHER PARTY with 2 brain cells to rub together thinks 30-year punchline Donald Trump should lead the free world
— Ken Jennings (@KenJennings) September 16, 2016
Another tweeter tried to police his word choices, so Jennings gave him a taste of the ol’ sarcasm, too:
@dfhussey Whoa…the guy sending pedantic “actually” replies is a third-party supporter? This challenges everything I thought I knew.
— Ken Jennings (@KenJennings) September 16, 2016
This fellow sums it all up pretty nicely:
@KenJennings @dfhussey damn Ken is dragging everybody today

This election may feel soul-sucking at times, but you can’t deny the entertainment value.
