JR Smith Celebrates His First NBA Championship Exactly As You Think He Would

The video you’re about to watch is exactly as you think JR Smith would celebrate his first NBA Finals championship.

The road to Sunday night’s decisive game 7 win has been a long one for Smith, who left the New York Knicks two years ago for a Cleveland franchise surrounded with question marks after a disappointing tenure in Denver. Enter LeBron James back on his home turf and this morning Smith and the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves as the champs of the NBA.

And of course, for the Cavs who knocked off the Golden State Warriors last night in Oakland, California at the ORACLE Arena, it only makes sense that a brief stop in Las Vegas was in order. In fact, the champs made an appearance at XS Nightclub very late into the night, and ESPN’s Arash Markazi was on hand to capture Smith having the time of his life:

While veteran teammate Richard Jefferson can be seeing opting for the dry-shirt route, Smith celebrates exactly as any basketball fan thinks the sharp-shooter would celebrate a championship. In the background, a healthy handful of cash can be seen thrown up in the air before Smith celebrates accordingly to Migos‘ “Look at my Dab.”

If the Knicks can’t mount a postseason run, it’s good to see JR and Iman Shumpert win big in the opinion of this writer, champagne and all:
