Mueller Reportedly Still Interested in Interviewing Trump

Even though President Donald Trump‘s legal team has submitted questions to Robert Mueller, the special counsel still wants an interview with him.

Per CNN:

Mueller’s stance on interviewing the President has been constant for a year and a half, one of the sources said.

“Nothing has changed in that sense from the first day,” the source said…

Mueller’s interest in talking with the President is believed to include asking questions about the Trump’s state of mind in regard to actions under scrutiny in the obstruction of justice probe.

This news comes following several significant developments in the special counsel office’s investigation, including today’s response from Mueller to Michael Flynn‘s legal team writing that the circumstances surrounding his FBI interview are not mitigating and he still lied when he knew he shouldn’t have.

Whether or not an interview actually happens is still an open question, and Rudy Giuliani said in a statement that he’s presently “pretty disgusted” with Mueller’s office.
