Vice President Joe Biden was in Las Vegas yesterday, and he spoke with a man who had some serious issues with a minimum wage hike due to its effects on small businesses. He said, “It’s real hard for the small businesses. It’s not so easy.”
The man told Biden that while the administration may have pushed for a $10.10 federal minimum wage, “after you pay taxes and FICA and everything, I mean, we’re talking like fifteen dollars.”
President Obama recently held a town hall and he got a question from a steel plant manager expressing serious concerns about rising health care costs and its effects on businesses.
