Rep. Steve King Considering Bill To Replace Everything Obama Has Signed

The president has some very staunch opponents, indeed. Iowa Rep. Steve King (R) is reportedly considering introducing a bill that would repeal everything President Barack Obama has signed into law.

According to The Hill, King, who’s been quite critical of the Obama administration, made the suggestion on Tuesday — when “he also reiterated his threat to sue the Obama administration for its June decision not to deport younger illegal immigrants” (who serve in the military or are enrolled in school).

“I am bringing him to court, and we’re going to defend the Constitution of the United States and the separation of powers,” he said. The lawsuit could be filed before Labor Day, The Messenger reported.

As for the repeal everything idea? Beyond the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, ThinkProgress noted that King’s bill would also put an end to the Bush tax cuts, defund the military, relax southern border security, strip Medals of Honor from 9/11 first responders, and cancel plans to honor President Ronald Reagan.

No proposal actually exists yet, however.
