Rush Limbaugh Tears Into Media For Fawning Obama Portrait Coverage: ‘You People… Are So Predictable’
Monday morning, the National Portrait Gallery unveiled the official portraits of former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.
Rush Limbaugh was all over the media for what he deemed to be fawning coverage of the Obamas on Monday. The conservative host zeroed in on CNN and “some guy named Fallon” — former Hillary Clinton campaign spokesman Brian Fallon. Limbaugh claimed that Fallon stopped just short of crying. And in a highly mocking tone, the host mimicked the Clinton staffer’s remarks.
“Oh my God this is so wonderful!” A highly sarcastic Limbaugh said. “To have braininess back. To have intelligence, to have people we could be proud of!”
Limbaugh broke character at that point and said, “I knew it was gonna happen.
He added, “You people in the drive-bys [media, a favorite Limbaugh taunt] are so predictable.”
The radio host went on to criticize the portraits themselves — weighing in like many on Twitter.
“This, to me looks — I don’t know — faded watercolors,” Limbaugh said.
