Tomi Lahren Trashes Anchors at Former Network: ‘Models and Actresses… Dumb-Dumb’

While conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren recently settled a lawsuit with TheBlaze, her most recent media home that she was in a very public dispute with, she also took the opportunity this week to take some shots at another former employer.

In an extensive interview with Playboy, the 24-year-old took aim at One America News Network, the conservative cable news channel that gave Lahren her first program when she was only 21 years old.

Asked about criticism that she only got the show because she was a “blonde bombshell,” Lahren shot back, claiming that she brought the brains to On Point with Tomi Lahren while the rest of the network was filled with less-then-serious individuals:

Those who have a knowledge of One America would know that there were several models and actresses working there just as anchors. And they didn’t get their own political talk shows. If I was just some dumb-dumb who looked pretty, they would have made me an anchor and had me read news from a teleprompter. Robert Herring had enough trust in me to think I could carry my own show. He wanted to experiment. I built that show from nothing. At 21, right out of college, I had two producers, about my age, who had never produced a show before, and they wanted me to write and produce an hour-long show before I turned 22. Which is a whole lot of work for someone who’s just an “airhead.“

Interestingly, after essentially calling the other OANN anchors “dumb-dumb(s) who look pretty,” Lahren said she found terms like “blonde bimbo” and “airhead” to be “offensive.”

Elsewhere in the interview, regarding where she’d like to work next, she stated that Fox News is “the Mecca,” but that she’d also be cool with MSNBC if she could be “authentic and genuine.”

Of course, there will be even more speculation about her next destination with Mediaite reporting that a new conservative news network is in the works and could soon be launched.
