Tony Bennett is one of the best and most-respected singers of the last few decades, but even he makes mistakes. Which he did at a baseball game between the today, flubbing the lyrics to “God Bless America.”
Instead of singing the line “to the oceans, white with foam,” Bennett sang, “to the oceans, white with gold.”
This got plenty of attention on Twitter, obviously:

But then some Twitterers thought up another theory:
