Upcoming Book Reveals Biden Told White House Staffers Secret to His Marriage With Jill Is ‘Good Sex’

An upcoming book about America’s First Ladies included a saucy revelation about the marriage of President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.

The Daily Mail was privy to an excerpt of American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden by Katie Rogers, who examined how the role of the First Lady has evolved throughout the country’s history. One of her anecdotes about the Bidens, who have been married for 47 years, involved the president revealing the secret to their success: “Good sex.”

This, according to the president himself, in advice he apparently offers up to White House staffers, much to the First Lady’s embarrassment. Rogers, a longtime White House reporter for The New York Times, also reported that Mr. Biden makes the joke often “much to his wife’s chagrin.” (And possibly also to his staff’s.)

As a contrast, Dr. Biden told CNN in 2023 that her secret to a good marriage is maintaining a “good balance.”

Daily Mail cited a few examples of the Bidens’ PDAs, including a 2006 interview when then Sen. Biden told a reporter: “I’d rather be at home making love to my wife while my children are asleep.” A spokesperson at the time said Biden is “frankly, totally in love with his wife.”
