Oprah Warns Voters at Harris Rally: If Trump Wins, We May Not ‘Have the Opportunity to Ever Cast a Ballot Again’

Oprah Winfrey was one of the speakers at Vice President Kamala Harris’s Philadelphia rally on Monday, the night before Election Day. And she had a dire warning for those who might want to stay home instead of voting.

Winfrey’s turn at the podium came begins at about the 1:23:24 mark in the video above, and she implored those in the crowd to exercise their right to vote no matter how they felt about how much it might count:

Listen, I know that some of you are feeling burnt out and bruised, and maybe inconsequential. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every single vote, every one is going to matter. That’s why I’ve come to Philadelphia tonight.

That led Winfrey to a story about meeting a woman while hiking who was planning not to vote. Joking that the woman — whose name was Angela — was “immediately sorry she told me that, ’cause I would not let up,” Winfrey warned that if former President Donald Trump won the election, there might not be another election or some could lose their right to vote:

Sit this one out? We don’t get to sit this one out. If we don’t show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible that we will not have the opportunity to ever cast a ballot again.

While some Trump supporters have said similar things about a Harris win, Trump once told a crowd of Evangelical Christians that should he be elected again, “You won’t have to vote anymore.” Trump also said that if elected, he would be a dictator for his first day in office.
