‘You Should Stop’: Fox News’ Andrew McCarthy Tells Trump to Stop Using ‘Mobster Lingo’

On Sunday morning, President Donald Trump used a decidedly mobster-esque tone when he called his former fixer Michael Cohen a “rat.”

“Remember, Michael Cohen only became a “Rat” after the FBI did something which was absolutely unthinkable & unheard of until the Witch Hunt was illegally started,” Trump wrote.

Then, breaking out into all-caps, he continued on: “They BROKE INTO AN ATTORNEY’S OFFICE! Why didn’t they break into the DNC to get the Server, or Crooked’s office?”

Fox News contributor and Contributing Editor at National Review Andrew McCarthy, however, suggested to Trump he may want to lay off the mob talk.

“Sir, in mobster lingo, a ‘rat’ is a witness who tells prosecutors real incriminating info,” McCarthy advised. “Perhaps a different word? Searches of lawyer’s offices common enough that DOJ has a procedure for them. Here it yielded evidence of crimes you said he should be jailed for. You should stop.”

Trump’s Cohen tweet was just one of a morning tirade that involved talk of SNL, Ken Starr, and the policy on our nation’s border.
