Friends and Colleagues Grieve For Charles Krauthammer Over News He Has Weeks to Live
It was already a sad day in the media Twitterverse because of Anthony Bourdain‘s death. Now, the day has grown even more sad, with the just-announced news that Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer has only weeks to live .
The conservative pundit has announced that his cancer has returned and his life is almost over. The news has devstated Krauthammer’s colleagues on Fox News — with Chris Wallace notably delivering a heartbreaking tribute at the top of Outnumbered on Friday.
As a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and giant of the political news industry, Krauthammer commanded significant respect throughout his career with his commentary and written works. As such, media Twitter quickly picked up on the news and are wishing Krauthammer and his family the best:
I am beyond heartbroken by this news. Charles is one of the most brilliant political minds of our time – a true icon and DC legend. He has also always been my favorite analyst. I wish him and his family peace and prayers during this time. We are all with you – sending strength https://t.co/OPscB1Iqa5

Incredibly sad to read this news, but fitting that Dr. Krauthammer would give it to us in his own words. In today’s noisy pundit world, we will miss his wisdom and unique voice. Always enjoyed talking to him and reading him. Godspeed, Charles. https://t.co/Zf0Of8ZEUw

Fox News just read a letter from @krauthammer saying he has only a few weeks left to live b/c of an aggressive cancer. He has been an amazing colleague and friend. He was brilliant, generous, kind and an inspiration to everyone who met him. Keep him and his family in your prayers

I knew this was coming, but that doesn’t lessen the agony of this announcement. Charles Krauthammer is one of the most brilliant, decent, humane, impressive people I have ever had the honor to know, never mind call a friend. I am heartbroken over this. https://t.co/DRC8YoFwN0

This note from @Krauthammer is terribly sad news on a day already filled with anguish. Charles writes that his end is near but knows his life has been a race well run. How I will miss his words and wisdom. But will refer to them always for future guidance. https://t.co/eDIplQrToQ
