Former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova Suggests John Brennan Will See Prison Time Over Russia Probe

Former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova is an ardent Trump supporter who has long been a fierce advocate for the “Deep State” conspiracy theories that suggest that President Donald Trump has been victimized by a Russian probe originally — and falsely — created to bring him down.

On Wednesday evening he appeared with Laura Ingraham (alongside fellow ardent Trump supporter Rep. Jim Jordan) and revealed to the Fox News primetime host that, for the first time, he believes that some of these Obama administration actors will be seeing prison time.

Who is most likely to see time? Well, diGenova doesn’t exactly say who, but he makes a very strong suggestion after Ingraham asked about a newly announced DOJ investigation into the origins of the Russian investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, saying “What does the impressive scope of this new probe initiated by Barr tell us tonight?”

James Comey, Brennan, and (James) Clapper have said to themselves which one of us is going to pay the Barr bill. The Barr bill is coming due,” diGenova replied. He then targeted former CIA Director John Brennan (who is now a vocal cable news Trump critic) saying  that meetings between the current Attorney general, CIA director and Director of National Intelligence have “now focused on a laser that the core of this conspiracy began with John Brennan and ends with John Brennan in London and D.C.”

In case the intended gravity of his comments was missed, he added “This is serious business and for the first time, I now believe that some of these guys are going to go to prison.”
