Judge Napolitano Hammers Trump: ‘Sh*thole’ Remarks a ‘New Low,’ ‘Reprehensible’

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s remarks about Haiti, El Salvador and African nations (he called them “shithole countries” while questioning the need to protect immigrants from those areas), we’ve seen a whole bunch of reactions from the cable news talking head class. And one pundit’s response was at least somewhat surprising.

Hours after sparking a bit of administration turmoil when his Fox & Friends appearance led to Trump’s morning tweet questioning FISA before a Congressional vote, Judge Andrew Napolitano ripped POTUS over his “shithole” remark — all while describing the president as a close friend.

“I’ve known him for 30 years,” Napolitano told Bret Baier. “I know him well and like him and admire him but this is a new low.”

He continued, “The language, the racial implications are reprehensible and he deserves the criticism he’s going to get.”

The Fox News analyst pointed out that the “flip side” is that many of Trump’s supporters agree with that tone and “they will cheer him on.”
