Mediaite’s Top Thanksgiving Movie Moments

Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving (NSFW)
(bonus pick, by Rachel Sklar)

Warning: Do not watch this if you are actually about to eat turkey, or anything. Horrormeister Eli Roth’s fake trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse has become a recent holiday classic (or alt-classic), spoofing on the holiday in ways that you cannot un-see (CHEERLEADERS, BEWARE!). Actually, everyone beware: You’re all gonna die, and it’s gonna be messy. Pass the cranberry sauce.

p.s. I actually stopped watching halfway through because I felt sick. I did love the Rocky Horror-inspired lettering, though.

The Katie Holmes flick is kind of dark, but it might make one appreciate the fact that their family isn’t quite as dysfunctional. I don’t know if it’ll remain online, but while it’s there and if you’re up to a YouTube multi-part, I’ll recommend it along with pretty much everything else in this list.

I was really surprised to see “The Ice Storm” recommended on that other list. It’s a depressing film about some very sad confused people, and not family fare by any measure. Not a _bad_ movie, but not the sort of thing you want to watch on or about Thanksgiving.I appreciate Kurt’s sentiment, but “Blackhawk Down” does not belong on the Thanksgiving list either.

Bret Baier Keeps Pres. Obama On Track In Combative Fox News Exclusive Interview

    video

The first part of the much-anticipated Fox News exclusive interview between Bret Baier and Pres. Barack Obama took place at the top of Special Report, and although it couldn't be viewed as contentious, there was so much interrupting it caused Baier to acknowledge the tactic at the end of the interview. Here's a breakdown, and video:

Joe Biden At The Radio & Television Dinner: As Entertaining As You’d Hope

    video

Who told Joe Biden he'd be performing at the Chucklehut tonight? It's been awhile since the VP notorious for misspeaks and off-color jokes was allowed to go off-book, and tonight he got a whole 13 minutes on stage at the annual Radio & Television Correspondent's Dinner to hang himself by. And boy did he use every second of it. Cue the music!
