New Black Panthers Case Continues As More Media Pick Up Latest Developments

As the Black Panther Department of Justice whistleblower story continues, the latest developments are drawing more attention by sources outside Fox News and conservative blogs.

Yesterday our White House correspondent Tommy Christopher asked Robert Gibbs about the case – and tomorrow Megyn Kelly will have a must-see interview with the head of the New Black Panther party.

While Kelly, who conducted the initial interview with J. Christian Adams which broke the story wide open, will interview Malik Zulu Shabazz, Tommy Christopher talked to Shabazz yesterday (and discussed the DOJ case as well). Gibbs, however, said he hasn’t “paid any attention to it.”

The bipartisan panel investigating allegations that the Justice Department wrongly abandoned a case against the New Black Panther Party plans to issue a new round of subpoenas and call for a separate federal probe following explosive testimony from an ex-Justice official, a commissioner said.

As the case heats up, members of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights may even travel to South Carolina to track down one witness.

And say what you want about who is driving this story (ok, Fox News is), but other outlets are certainly taking notice. The New York Times has a detailed story on the recent developments. Also, on cable news, CNN has covered the story six times this week, and MSNBC has covered it twice this week (according to TV Eyes).

No wonder the dinosaur media hates Fox News. In the old days, this story would have been swept under the rug for fearing of making the Dem prez look bad. Now, because of FNC, some of the dinosaur media feel that they have to at least touch on it. Damn you FNC for doing your job. Damn you!

Actually, what we’re seeing is the third worldifcation of the USA. It’s absolutely normal for presidents to pick like minded persons as cabinet members, but this DOJ is going way too far. It chooses to drop a civil suit against the black panthers, when they had already won by default; the BP’s never showed up. They choose to sue Arizona over their immigration law which parallels federal law, yet, are not only silent on, but encourage “sanctuary” cities, who openly defy federal law. Basically, Obama and Holder are using police state tactics to reward their friends and punish political enemies, which is what happens in shithole nations that export bananas and twelve year old hookers. I wonder when Obama is going to have a cheezy general’s uniform made with a bunch of stupid looking medals and a beret.

@Moderate They would but once the “killing white babies” video started making the rounds even “MSLSD” can’t run cover for that. Though, I’m sure they’ll still try. I think Tommy Christopher desperately wants to find a way to defend them, but that darn Zulu is making it so darn hard!

as others have noted, if it was the KKK standing in front of that polling place, this would have been front-page news for months. what I don’t understand is why there isn’t more outrage on the Left. I am appalled by the video, but I’d be equally appalled at white supremacists taunting black voters. shouldn’t we ALL be concerned about ALL voting intimidation issues?

J. Christian Adams’ accusations that President Obama’s Justice Department engaged in racially charged “corruption” in the New Black Panther Party case do not stand up to the evidence. Adams is a right-wing activist tied to the Bush-era politicization of the Justice Department who has admitted he lacks first-hand knowledge of the events he is discussing, and his claims fall apart given the fact that the Obama DOJ obtained judgment against one defendant, while the Bush DOJ declined to pursue similar allegations in 2006.
