I’m saying that there is so much ideology and not enough reality in DC…on both sides. Yes, we all have goals and visions of how we think the govt should run and operate, but we also have to look at the reality of the situation (s).  And those members of Congress elected on principles are also expected to govern.  I look at them on cable news (I watch all the networks and also try to read/listen to their WHOLE comments on the web) and it’s frustrating to hear these people run down talking points and ignore questions. You cannot just sit back and not listen to reason, facts, and logical debates, especially in a country where we have two parties.  There has to be give and take on both sides.  So if someone is only going to say no because they want this president to fail or dont agree with his policies, they arent serving this nation very well in my opinion.  This president has done an extreme amount of “compromising” and giving in to the other side when he is not getting much of anything in return.  If the POTUS fails, we fail. Regardless of what side of the aisle we’re on, we have debt that needs to be paid, we have the deficit spending that needs to be reduced, and we also need revenues to be raised. And in time once things are balanced, we can review whats on the table. It can’t be one sided and pointing fingers.  It should be more along the lines, “we tried this, but it didnt work…so let’s try another approach.”Thats what frustrating about Washington.  I know each side has their sacred cows but if we are going to move forward as a nation, were have to be realistic and take some hits.  I would rather you try something than to do nothing out of fear for losing political points. But that can be asking too much for a politicians.
