I agree. There are a lot of honest criticisms to be made against the Tea Party, false accusations only put their detractors in a bad light. I do think that there is a racist strain in the Tea Party.

Well said, Pakattak. I think the problem with this country is that they don’t understand Communism & Fascism and the dangers of extremes. Hitler wasn’t Communist. He was Fascist. That’s what the conservative party becomes if it’s taken to it’s extreme. It’s what Liberals fear and fight against. Stalin was Communist. That’s what the liberal party becomes if it’s taken to it’s extreme. It’s what Conservatives fear and fight against. Fighting extremes with extremes is a screwed up solution, and at some point if they go far enough, Communism & Fascism become the same. Einstein said- “You can’t solve a problem with the same thinking that created the problem.” And Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said- “Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that.” I don’t think we have a right party and a wrong party in this country. I think we have a pendalum that needs ritalin. I don’t have an opinion of Jon Stewart’s rally. He was the keynote speaker at my graduation. His speech started by saying that any school that would invite him to be the speaker was probably not worth going to so we were all stupid. It ended with something about masturbation. So knowing Jon Stewart, he probably didn’t have a point, other than laughing at people who would argue over his point.
