Romney Trounces 2016 Competition in New Iowa Poll

Mitt “Circumstances Can Change” Romney topped a USA Today/Suffolk poll of 2016 GOP contenders, running away from the pack with 35%.

No other presumed candidate even came close; in fact, “Undecided” finished a distant second with 10%. Without Romney in the running, the major names drew a virtual tie, with Texas Governor Rick Perry edging out 10% and Paul Ryan, Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee, Jeb Bush, and Ted Cruz all one or two points behind him.

Romney, of course, has been telling everyone who will listen that he’s not running again. However the former Massachusetts Governor slipped a bit yesterday in an interview with Hugh Hewitt, when he cryptically (and perhaps unintentionally) said “circumstances can change” about another run.
