Rupert Murdoch Deletes Controversial Tweet: ‘Maybe Brits Have Too Many Holidays For Broke Country!’

After joining the unwashed masses of the Twitterati just this past weekend, media mogul Rupert Murdoch discovered the downsides of telling the whole world what’s on your mind on a moment’s whim. Murdoch slammed Brits for taking too many holidays despite the poor economy: “Maybe Brits have too many holidays for broke country!”

After initial outrage, Murdoch deleted his message, but as long as there’s screencap technology, tweets are forever.

International press reports are saying that Murdoch’s wife Wendi Deng immediately replied: “RUPERT!! delete tweet!!” (But come on folks, it’s the internet — somebody’s trolling us.) Update: And it turns out it was indeed a fake account.

Flustered by the flak he received from his provocative deleted tweet, Murdoch exclaimed, “I’m getting killed for fooling around here and friends frightened what I may really say!”

That shar pei is right. England needs increased output not fiscal stimulus. Smartest pooch typing on the tubes.

But…but…..when anybody ELSE just tweets what they “just feel” they get skewered too. How’s it feel, Big Guy?

one of his newspapers must have hacked his twitter account in addition to hacking his cellphone.

Holidays were around during the boom years. They have nothing to do with the cause of the recession. The recession was caused by the financial sector creating trillions in non-existent wealth through deceptions in US housing, leading to consequences that have been cascading through the world economy for the past three years. Plutocrats can’t use recessions caused by their own as excuses to enact a fantasy world where the general public operates as cheap sweatshop laborers.

Brits have one too many octogenarian Aussies as well.  Here’s hoping they give him the boot or throw his butt in jail for numerous crimes.

Hey Murdoch, stick to hacking people’s telephones and private conversations. Your tweets are a dud.

Will someone please tell me what’s wrong with wanting a six figure income working a thirty hour work week with full pensions and healthcare with summers off and a winter and spring break. Whoops, I just asked about a lot of government jobs that deny any criticizing but let me be the first to cut SS and anything to do with the military and ask your socialist countries about their wants. Study this listing for anything that is produced that’s taxable? http://www.usa.gov/Agencies/Federal/All-Agencies/index.shtml

Maybe it’s good that Rupert has just a tiny tick of what it feels like to be human – - – ?

I don’t find fault with his feeling that the Brits are broke.  I do find great fault with his inability, or unwillingness, to own up to his part in the hacking.  In this, he doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

Wendi is much smarter than he is.  I just wonder how much she will give back?

He looks like one of those puppets from Genesis video “Land of Confusion”.

In case anyone thinks that’s just a freak comment, here are the vile messages leftwingers have sent Rupert in just one hour:

If they were smarter and saner they could separate some Fox viewers from Rupert, but that’s just completely beyond them.

He didn’t delete the one about going “uboating” with his daughters!
