JD Vance Baffled as He Learns From Rogan That Biden Had Brain Surgery, Blames Media for Him Not Knowing: ‘Wow!’

Vice President JD Vance was shocked to learn from podcaster Joe Rogan that former President Joe Biden went through two brain surgeries.

Vance joined Rogan on his podcast this week for a three-hour chat that touched on everything from the ongoing Iran war to religion in public schools to the release of the Epstein files. At one point, the two were discussing the former president, and Rogan referenced Biden’s past surgeries, something Vance claimed he was completely oblivious to.

Rogan was discussing Biden dropping his reelection effort in the 2024 presidential election and accusing Democrats and Biden’s team at the time of “gaslighting” the public about his mental and physical stamina when Vance stopped him to ask about the brain surgeries.

“He’s had two brain surgeries, like, where they have to take the top of your head off. Literally, they have to take it like a cap,” Rogan said.

“Wait, Biden had two brain surgeries?” Vance asked.

“Oh yeah!” Rogan confirmed.

“How did I not know this?” Vance asked.

“You didn’t know this?” a surprised Rogan asked back.

“I didn’t know that he had two brain surgeries,” Vance admitted.

Biden went through two brain surgeries in 1988 to treat multiple intracranial aneurysms.

“Wow!” Vance said as he learned the details. “Did he get a refund afterwards?”

“It kept him alive,” Rogan said.

“I did not know this. That’s crazy,” Vance said as Rogan read about the surgeries.

The vice president blamed his ignorance about Biden’s surgeries on the media.

“How’d you not know about that? That’s nuts. I knew about that,” Rogan said.

“Well, it speaks to how constrained our media environment is that I never heard that,” Vance said.

“Right. It was not part of the narrative. It was certainly not for the Democrats,” Rogan said.
