Ted Kennedy’s Funeral Coverage Dominates Airwaves

Senator Ted Kennedy’s funeral is dominating the dials this morning. For those of you unable to get to a television both CNN.com and ABC News are carrying it live online (sans the history-rich coverage, alas), as is the NYT.com homepage.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica, where the service is being held, is packed with dignitaries; the above pic was snapped a few minutes ago (oh to be a fly on the pew of that conversation!). You can find of list of the speakers here — President Obama is slated to give the eulogy. Below is a look at how the Twitterverse is reacting.

Obama and the Dems have sunk to a new low using the Kennedy grandkids to promote the health care plan.

BTW, I don’t understand why CNN brought Anderson back from NOLA early just to regurgitate Wolf’s questions to other commentators and announce commercial breaks. As far as I can tell, he has no unique perspective to add to this spectacle.

I have to admit that watching this over the top funeral this morning has reminded me why I don’t trust the Catholic Church.

After years of the cringe-worthy pronunciation of nu-cu-lar during the Bush White House, it seemed like we finally had an administration who had a litmus test in staffing their National Security detail - pronounce the word "nuclear." Not so. During an interview to discuss Iran's weapons program with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell today, National Security Chief of Staff Denis McDonough definitely uttered the term Nucular. Gotcha! Governor David Paterson Rebuffs Rumors Of His Imminent Resignation
