Just…no. So much no. There’s a GoFundMe that’s trending, and it’s probably not what the campaign’s creator had in mind. William Oliver has decided now that he’s 30, he is ready to marry his girlfriend. That’s great. But, engagement rings are expensive, particularly the one he wants to buy his girlfriend. It’s $15,000. That’s a lot of money, so he’s hitting the Internet up to cover the cost.

William writes:

In 2017 I have started to realize that teamwork makes our dreams work.  After my 30th Birthday, I’ve received a lot excitement about it being time to marry her! I couldn’t agree more. She had a really innovative way to show her appreciation by purchasing 30 gifts for my 30th birthday. So I need a more innovative way to show my appreciation while incorporating friends and family.

I’ve decided to get some help by making this a trending approach. This will raise awareness about the difference between the love we share and the love people have for us. Money for the engagement is your chance to get involved. I’ve heard everything from “I Love Yall” to “You need to put a Ring On It” etc etc.

So, yeah. So far, he’s nowhere near his goal, having raised only $594. Twitter is ripping him apart:
