Fox News Brings Ed Rollins On Board As Contributor
At some point next week, veteran political strategist Ed Rollins will join Fox News as a contributor. Celeste Katz and Alison Gendar of The Daily News broke the story late Thursday, and a Fox spokesperson confirms to move to Mediaite.
Rollins has worked a total of six presidential campaigns, including those for Mike Huckabee, Ross Perot, and Ronald Reagan. In early September, he resigned as campaign manager for Michele Bachmann. A native of Boston, Mass., Rollins is one of eight members of the Political Consultants Hall of Fame. Acting as Reagan’s campaign manager in 1984, Rollins led the incumbent to a landslide victory, garnering Reagan more electoral votes than any other President in history.
For a taste of Rollins’ media style, check out his appearance last week on Alec Baldwin’s Here’s The Thing podcast, from New York’s WNYC radio.
UPDATE: An earlier version of this story reported that Rollins would be joining Fox as a correspondent. His role will be as a contributor.
