Administration Heads Are Rolling Ahead Of Obama’s Press Conference On BP Oil Spill

Despite the continuing Katrina comparisons, there’s no ‘heckuva job’ back slaps happening during this Louisiana disaster. Ahead of his press conference later today to discuss further restrictions on oil drilling and presumably the BP Oil spill, President Obama has fired Elizabeth Birnbaum, director of the U.S. Minerals Management Service. Birnbaum was reportedly head of Minerals Management Service “when it exempted Deep Water Horizon rig from most scrutiny.”

Considering Birnbaum was recently expected to “take over as head of one of two new agencies” one presumes that this move is in part a measure to tamp down the storyline that has taken hold in recent days that Obama has not done enough to deal with the oil spill.

All this violent rhetoric is really concerning me. All this “head rolling” talk is going to get someone killed.

This language doesn’t appear accurate. Could you please rephrase?

Wonder why we’re not seeing anything on Mediaite about -0bama skipping town for the Memorial Day ceremonies at Arlington?

    28 May–

Today, Mr. -0bama showed up in Louisiana to play with some tar balls on Grand Isle. I wonder if he arranged them in the shape of a cross, as did Mr. Cliton, when he made his appearance at Normandy?
