GW signed 290 EOs in 8 years. Obama has signed 74 EOs in 2 years. If Obama continues at this rate and is elected to a second term, he would sign 296 EOs over 8 years. I’m not sure I see much difference between them when it somes to EOs. GW appointed 33 czars over his 8 years, Obama has appointed 37 in his first 2 years. Regarding signing statements, Obama criticized Bush for signing statements, yet according to the NYT, Obama has issued “dozens” of signing statements.
