Local News Anchor Drops Inadvertent F-Bomb After Failing To Say ‘Luck’ On Live TV

Ah, the ever-amusing f-bomb drop on live television. Why do we enjoy it so? Well, here’s another one for you. It comes to us from Roanoke, Virginia’s WDBJ-TV, where Wednesday’s noon news took an unintentionally funny turn. Anchor Holly Pietrzak was attempting to say “more teens are having luck finding summer jobs,” and you can probably see where this is headed. The “l” in luck somehow became an “f” and a viral video was born, suggesting that teens are more interested in something other than earning a paycheck over the summer.

I think it’s just how the words were written down in the teleprompter; “having luck finding…” Say that many times repeatedly and you could catch yourself putting that f there. Saying that once is bad enough…imagine saying something as offensive TWICE while trying to correct yourself.

Holly has always been better in the field, she is pretty bad as an anchor. She is having to anchor more because Keith Humphrey just retired after 31 years with the station. Keith was/is THE BEST, as a journalist and a person, and could have gone national but he did not want to leave the Roanoke valley.

I watch Holly Pietrzak many times a week and I’m sure she will not have any problems with her job. Look how many guys are hit square in the nuts, and that is comedy TV. It’s a mistake that’s all, and she did keep her cool! Go, Holly!

Been there done that, sort of. Many, many years ago when I was a DJ, Dolly Parton hat two songs on the chart as the same time. I remember saying, as the song ended, “that’s one of a pair of “tits” from Dolly.”
