Trevor Noah on Anti-Trump Protests: Don’t ‘Become the Hate That You’re Protesting Against’

Trevor Noah
tonight reacted to the anti-Donald Trump protests by saying that people should “be careful” about how they protest.

He applauded the protests because “it’s important for the world to see that not all of America supports Donald Trump,” but he warned that people shouldn’t let anger consume them or “become the hate that you’re protesting against.”

And with effigies and flags being burned at protests already, Noah suggested people view protests like sex: “You can be loud and wild and do it all night long, but when something starts to burn, you should probably stop.”

But Noah also kept things as light as he could, joking about the unbelievable sight of Donald Trump and President Obama in the Oval Office together.
