Author Michael Wolff dared President Donald Trump to follow through on his latest lawsuit threat, warning that any legal fight would trigger discovery and force a public reckoning over the president’s long-disputed ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Wolff’s comment was in reply to remarks by Trump in the days that followed the Justice Department release of more than three million pages of Epstein-related documents.

In a Truth Social post on Monday, the president wrote: “Not only wasn’t I friendly with Jeffrey Epstein but, based upon information that has just been released by the Department of Justice, Epstein and a SLEAZEBAG lying ‘author’ named Michael Wolff, conspired in order to damage me and/or my Presidency.”

Over the weekend, Trump also threatened legal action against both Wolff and the Epstein estate.

In a defiant Instagram video posted on Monday, however, the author welcomed Trump’s threats: “I woke up this morning and found that last night Donald Trump had threatened to sue me again. I think this is the third or possibly fourth time the president of the United States has threatened to sue.”

In his defense, Wolff argued: “Yes, I tried to encourage Jeffrey Epstein in any way I knew how to come forward with what he knew about Donald Trump.” He cited his book Siege, which details an alleged falling-out between the two men over Palm Beach real estate.

The author added that he is already suing First Lady Melania Trump after she threatened legal action over claims she moved in Epstein’s social circle.

“This lawsuit gives me the power to subpoena Mrs. Trump, Mr. Trump and all their friends,” Wolff said, noting he raised $800,000 through GoFundMe to fund the case.

His message to the president was blunt: “Bring it on! I believe that if the American public knew the real nature of Donald Trump’s long relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, they would turn away in horror and revulsion. So sue me. Let’s sue each other.”

“I have nothing to hide, but Mr. President,” he added. “You surely do.”
