‘Lost His Mind?’ Trump Sparks Fury With Threat to ‘Bomb the Sh*t’ Out of Ally

President Donald Trump raised eyebrows on Monday after Fox News’s Trey Yingst reported that the president threatened to bomb the “sh*t out of Oman” – a longtime U.S. ally and mediator in the current war with Iran.

Yingst reported on Fox & Friends that Trump told him during a phone call that Iran should “put up the white flag of surrender.” Yingst shared the clip on social media and summed it up, writing:

The President confirmed there is a direct backchannel with IRGC officials.

“They’re good poker players, but they’re dying.”

President Trump also reacted to the ongoing talks between Iran and Oman regarding control of the Strait.

“If Oman gets in the way, we’ll bomb the sh*t out of them.”

Reactions came in from across the political spectrum as many were taken aback by Trump’s threat to bomb Oman.

“What’s Oman been doing wrong? They were trying to engage in negotiations with Iran on the Strait of Hormuz. Apparently, they made their case, then they turned it over to the US, and Iran has just been sitting on the sidelines ever since,’ Fox News anchor John Roberts asked retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General John Teichert on Monday afternoon.

“John, I don’t see Oman doing anything that would make them complicit in supporting the Iranian regime. And I would rather the administration focus on fulfilling the threats they’ve made to the regime. As an example, in the last few days, three tankers have been struck in the Strait of Hormuz. The administration has said there would be a strong U.S. response if that happened, and our credibility is on the line every time we don’t follow through on those threats. I’d rather we focus on that instead of making new threats to Oman,” replied Gen. Teichert.

“Now, I know that Oman has a close relationship with Iran, but I don’t know what they’d be doing to earn that,” Roberts agreed.

CNN’s Aaron Blake noted that Monday was not the first time Trump threatened to bomb Oman. “This is now Trump’s second threat to Oman,” Blake wrote on social media, adding:

The first — “Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we’ll have to blow ‘em up” — was in May.
