O.J. Simpson Told Followers His ‘Health Was Good’ In Final Post Before Death: ‘I’m Just About Over It’

O.J. Simpson assured his fans on social media that he was in good health in his final post on X (formerly Twitter) months before his death.
The retired NFL running back died on Wednesday from prostate cancer at the age of 76, according to a statement released by his family on Thursday. Simpson was infamously acquitted for 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
In February, two months before his death in a post on X, Simpson told his followers that he was recovering from “some issues” but that his health was good. Simpson released the video two days after news broke that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
“Thank you to all the people who reached out to me. My health is good,” Simpsons said as he sat by a swimming pool. “Obviously I’m dealing with some issues, but I think I’m just about over it, and I’ll be back on that golf course hopefully in a couple of weeks.”

After addressing concerns regarding his health, Simpson spends the rest of the video predicting the San Francisco 49ers would beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the upcoming Las Vegas Super Bowl. However, Simpson’s team would go on to lose to Kansas City in overtime.
Although Simpson was acquitted in live television court hearing that was watched by millions, he was found liable in a wrongful death civil suit and ordered to pay $33 million in damages to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
