‘Who the Hell Wrote That Line?!’ Trump Seethes After His Fat Joke About Chris Christie Bombs

President Donald Trump wondered, “Who the hell wrote that line?!” after a joke about former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s weight got minimal laughter at Friday’s make-up White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The dinner was rescheduled after Cole Tomas Allen allegedly opened fire outside the Washington Hilton Hotel ballroom, wounding a Secret Service agent whose bulletproof vest was hit with a gunshot. No one was killed in the incident, and Allen has since pleaded not guilty.

Referencing his speech on the 4th of July for America’s 250th birthday, which was delayed due to weather, Trump again claimed that 450,000 people were initially there, despite conceding it may have only been 422,000 at the time on Truth Social.

“It was a fantastic celebration,” Trump touted. “But I can exclusively reveal to you this evening that for the heaviest of the heavyweights, we will have sloppy Chris Christie, one of the sloppiest human beings you’ll ever meet.”

He continued, incorrectly reciting Illinois Governor JB Pritzker’s title, “Fighting, I would say, I could mention the governor of Chicago, but I’m gonna mention, instead, [Rep.] Jerry Nadler [D-NY], and they’re fighting for a big piece of cheesecake. Big fat piece of cheesecake.”

“Who the hell wrote that line?” he said, as the camera panned to a confused crowd. “But it is true.”

Referencing CNN’s Anderson Cooper and MS NOW’s Lawrence O’Donnell, Trump went on, “Anderson Cooper is going to fight Lawrence O’Donnell. I’m not a fan of Lawrence O’Donnell. I like Anderson, actually, ’cause he’s covered me well for many years. Then he went bad as soon as I went for politics… But he’s got a little different persuasion from me, in many ways actually.”

He then said that former CNN host Don Lemon had “the lowest ratings and the lowest I.Q. on television.”
