‘Sounds Like Death?’ Fox’s Harris Faulkner Scolds Democratic Guest for Invoking God And James Carville’s Age
Fox News’s Harris Faulkner scolded a Democratic guest on Monday’s episode of The Faulkner Focus during a discussion about the future of the party.
The debate centered around comments by longtime strategist James Carville, who declared on Fox News’ The Sunday Briefing that if far-left commentator Hasan Piker “becomes a force in the Democratic Party, I’m out of here.”
“I have no intention of ever being in the same political party with that guy. Now, I think a majority, agree with me,” Carville said in a recent interview.
Critics accuse Piker of promoting antisemitism, which Piker denies, saying his target is the Israeli government and not the Jewish people. Piker has also sparked controversy for claiming the U.S. “deserved” 9/11 and for boosting terror groups like Hezbollah.
Faulkner addressed former Democrat Ohio Senate candidate Morgan Harper about the rising far-left faction of the Democratic Party.
“The issue comes with, do you want to lose your ability to raise funds?” Faulkner asked. “I mean, you have so many mainstreamers in your party, too, that don’t want this socialist push. How do you square it all?”
“Yeah, I think it is interesting what Carville said,” Harper answered. “First of all, I think that God might have something to say about Jim Carville continuing to dictate Democrat politics more than anything he might see being over 80 years old.”
“Wait a minute,” Faulkner interjected. “Are you implying God because you think he would — why would you say something like that? That sounds like death? Is that what you mean to say? Because that’s offensive.”
“What I’m saying is we have a lot of people in our party who are very, very old, who have been dictating strategy and they have lost. I’ll take an example. Somebody that Jim Carville backed, Tim Ryan, for example, in Ohio, where I live. He said he was going to be the one to turn the state. It didn’t work. So, we have to start getting focused on what will win.”
