JD Vance’s Mom Says She’d ‘Probably Punch’ Abdul El-Sayed

Vice President JD Vance’s mother, Beverly Vance Aikins, said Wednesday that she would “probably punch” Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed if the two ever came face-to-face.

Aikins’ threats, of sorts, came during an appearance on OutKick’s Tomi Lahren is Fearless. Lahren also co-hosts Fox News’ The Big Weekend Show.

“I think that man’s an idiot,” she declared. “Those are my babies.”

Here, Aikins was referring to comments El-Sayed made about Second Lady Usha Vance and the couple’s four children.

During an April podcast episode, the candidate said, “Can you imagine, he’s got brown kids, at some point he’s going to have a really awkward conversation with his kids, like, you made your career hating people who are different.”

More recently, El-Sayed invoked the vice president’s grandfather on X, posting, “So do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no…”

Vance hit back during a Monday rally, stressing, “Keep my wife’s name the hell outta your mouth, because she’s way outta your league!”

“I love Usha as if she were my own daughter,” Vance’s mother added on Wednesday, claiming that El-Sayed must be “jealous” of her son’s family.

“It makes me mad, honestly,” she concluded. “I’m not gonna do anything about it. I mean, you know, I’d probably punch the guy if I’d ever seen him, and then that would get me in trouble.”

Yet El-Sayed actually accused the vice president of “hypocrisy” during a Monday appearance on CNN, noting that President Donald Trump first made his spouse a target of ridicule on Truth Social.

“Look, I’d rather not talk about spouses at all,” the Democrat said. “The truth of the matter is that Donald Trump, almost as soon as I was nominated, tweeted a picture of me and my wife relative to him and his wife, trying to highlight the fact that my wife wears a hijab, as if to make an argument that that’s somehow less American.”
