Eagles Coach Drags Fauci for Taking the Fifth: ‘Did You Guys See That?! Oh My God!’

Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio took a shot at Dr. Anthony Fauci while addressing the media during a Thursday press conference.

The Eagles continued their first week of training camp on Thursday morning. Following the practice session, Fangio spoke to the media to discuss a variety of personnel decisions concerning his defensive unit. When one reporter asked a question about Fangio’s plans for the safety position, the coach initially declined to elaborate by referencing Wednesday’s festivities on Capitol Hill.

“I’m gonna be like Fauci and just take the Fifth Amendment on all questions,” Fangio said with a chuckle. “Did you guys see that? Oh my god! What was the question?”

On Wednesday, Fauci appeared before members of Congress to testify on his guidance throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. The former Chief Medical Advisor to the President was repeatedly berated by Republican lawmakers, who claimed he was responsible for the deaths of millions due to the advice he gave to the American public. He was also criticized for pushing the Covid-19 vaccine and accused of using the global pandemic to enrich himself.

In response to every question, Fauci declined to answer under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution. He even refused to answer basic questions that were completely unrelated to the subject of the hearing.
