WATCH: Enes Kanter Freedom Ejected from Arena After Fiery Clash With WNBA Player

Enes Kantor Freedom was removed from Chicago’s Wintrust Arena Sunday night after getting into a heated clash with WNBA player Natasha Cloud in the middle of a game.

The bizarre encounter took place during the third quarter of the Chicago Sky-Indiana Fever game in the Windy City. NBC — which televised the game nationally — returned from commercial to show Kanter Freedom and Cloud in a verbal altercation, with the ex-NBA player standing courtside and being restrained by security, before eventually being escorted out.

Kanter Freedom — who has been an outspoken critic of transgender women competing in women’s sports — wore a t-shirt which read “WOMAN noun. adult human female.” He has declared himself eligible for the WNBA draft, claiming he now identifies as a woman.

Chicago Sky coach Tyler Marsh defended Cloud during the postgame news conference.

“I told her that we all embrace her as someone that protects our team and protects people that need to be protected,” Marsh said. “Tash is always going to stand on that, and we stand for Tash.”

Kanter Freedom, meanwhile, posted on X, “I just got kicked out of a @WNBA game for supporting WOMEN! Let that sink in, AMERICA!

But Kanter Freedom came under heavy criticism for his part in the altercation — even from some who support his position on trans athletes.

“I don’t think boys should be allowed to play in girls sports,” wrote Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy. “I also think Enes Kanter is an absolute clown for making this issue about him.”
