Cable news ratings, February 11, 2011:
•On a huge news night, CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight hit the show’s second lowest rating ever in terms of total audience Friday night, attracting 616,000 viewers. That put Piers Morgan into third place overall, 373,000 viewers behind second-place Rachel Maddow on MSNBC and more than a million viewers behind timeslot winner Sean Hannity on Fox. The matchup was closer among viewers 25-54, but PMT still landed in third place, with 220,000 viewers compared to 237,000 for Maddow and 379,000 for Hannity.
•On the heels of Cenk Uygur‘s bold vow to beat Fox News in the ratings and “make them fear me,” the ratings for his Live on MSNBC Friday were far from fearsome. The show attracted just 90,000 viewers 25-54, more than 100,000 viewers behind Wolf Blitzer on CNN and far behind timeslot winner Bret Baier on Fox, who had 453,000.
