Fox’s Laura Ingraham Warns Republicans to ‘Get Their Act Together’

Fox News host Laura Ingraham warned Republicans on Tuesday to “get their act together” as the midterm elections approach, specifically calling out the state of Iowa.

The advice came as she hosted Michael LaRosa, a former press secretary for former First Lady Jill Biden, and American Majority CEO Ned Ryun on Tuesday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle for a segment on tonight’s South Carolina Republican primary runoff.

Ingraham began with an update on the race between Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) and Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), noting that with roughly 8% of the vote counted, “Graham has a sizeable lead, but, you know, it’s still too early to call.”

Ryun added that he thinks the results will be “close” and that Dr. Annie Andrews, the state’s Democratic nominee for Senate, “is gonna be a tough candidate in the general.”

“I think Republicans are kind of whistling past the graveyard on some of these Senate seats that they thought were safe,” explained Ryun, whose organization helps to train conservative candidates. He cited South Carolina, Alaska, Iowa, Nebraska, and Ohio as examples.

Agreeing with his point, Ingraham brought up Republican Senate candidate and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, questioning, “Is he campaigning?”

Republicans “really didn’t follow through on some of these promises,” Ryun continued. “The Senate is thumbing their nose at the base over the SAVE America Act, gas is $4.10 a gallon. You know, they’re not seeing a lot of the things they voted for. The Iran war is killing us.”

While LaRosa went on to acknowledge that “South Carolina has really skipped any time there was a blue wave,” he emphasized, “I do think Ned’s right that there are some of these states like Kansas and Mississippi that are gonna sneak up.”

“Iowa,” Ingraham offered. “I think there are a number of states that Republicans better get their act together. Iowa is one of them.”
