‘I Still Pinch Myself’: Ex-Fox Host Turned Trump Cabinet Secretary Joins Wife On-Air to Fawn Over the President
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy gushed over his experience working under President Donald Trump during an appearance on Fox & Friends on Tuesday.
Duffy, a former Fox Business host, joined the morning show with his wife and current Fox host Rachel Campos-Duffy. While talking about the president’s first 100 days in office, Campos-Duffy said she was “dizzy” trying to follow the various actions taken by her husband and the rest of Trump’s cabinet.
Duffy replied, “The president’s been historic; and how much he’s done, how fast he’s moving, and to be part of that and our family to be part of it — so we get to go to these White House events. And again, I think we’ll look back 20 years from now, 30 years from now, and go, ‘This man fundamentally changed the way that America works in the relationship that we have with our government.'”
“And to be part of that, sometimes I still pinch myself that I get to call the president and he’ll pick up my call or call me back. It’s really remarkable,” Duffy continued, adding:
I saw him yesterday. He doesn’t stop. Like, it’s — he’s late for a meeting and he’s talking to people; and he’s talking about policy; and he’s signing executive orders; and he has so much energy and he’s so joyful.
Years before his was appointed as Trump’s Secretary of the Department of Transportation, Duffy first made a name for himself on the MTV reality show The Real World. He then pivoted to a career in politics, serving as a U.S. Representative for Wisconsin’s 7th district for eight years. He made his return to TV in 2023 when he co-hosted the Fox Business show The Bottom Line.
