‘It’s Over!’ Bill O’Reilly Warns Trump’s ‘Whole Legacy Blows Up’ If GOP Loses Both Chambers
Bill O’Reilly made the case Wednesday that President Donald Trump’s legacy is on the line if the Democrats win big in the midterms.
On the latest edition of No Spin News, O’Reilly discussed the potential outcomes of the upcoming elections. At the time of writing, the Republican Party controls both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
According to O’Reilly, the Democratic Party flipping both chambers would be a nightmare scenario for Trump personally. He said:
But if the Democrats win the Senate and the House, it’s over for President Trump. It’s over. Because they’ll impeach him, they’ll sue him, they’ll- every two minutes, there’ll be something else and nothing will ever get passed. Nothing. So, it’s going to be two years of, “Let’s get Trump”. That’s what’ll happen, and that’s what the media wants and that’s what the Democratic Party wants. The Democratic Party is not going to do anything but attack Trump. So, that’s not even a hard analysis. We know that will happen.
If the parties split the chambers, O’Reilly continued, that would be enough to block Democrats from going on the offensive against Trump.
“So, this thing is very personal for Donald Trump because he’s got to know that the Republicans have got to take at least one house,” he said. “It has to, or his whole legacy blows up, goes down like LBJ, Lyndon Johnson. I don’t know if the president makes that comparison, but if he reads my book, Confronting the Presidents, it’s the same. Vietnam War destroyed LBJ, who was corrupt anyway. He was corrupt from the jump, one of our worst presidents.”
He added: “So right now, Iran unresolved, consumer prices high — not crazy high, but high, making people not happy — and those are the things that the Republican Party and President Trump have to improve.”
