Joe Scarborough Shreds Florida GOP Booing Christie for Telling the Truth About Trump: ‘Those People Are Jokes!’

Joe Scarborough tore into the Florida Republican Party’s Freedom Conference for their jeers against Chris Christie and subservience to Donald Trump.

On Monday, Morning Joe discussed the summit where Trump was celebrated while Christie faced a hostile crowd, stood by his Trump criticisms, and declared, “Your anger against the truth is reprehensible.” After commending Christie for sticking through the booing, Scarborough argued the crowd could not seriously call themselves a “freedom summit” if they were going to stick with Trump.

“You have a guy they’re praising that has talked about terminating the Constitution!” Scarborough exclaimed. “A guy who is saying he is going to arrest people just because he wants to arrest them! Said he’s going to arrest General Mark Milley, says he is going to arrest Ty Cobb, his former attorney, just because! Those people are jokes! Every one of them that booed are jokes!”

Since Mika Brzezinski noted how Trump once again celebrated his rioting supporters from January 6, Scarborough leaped on that to ask, “How sick do you have to be to actually go to an event and boo somebody for criticizing Donald Trump at the ‘Freedom Summit?'”

“How sick do you have to be to praise a man who supports rioters who beat the hell out of cops?” He said. “They say they support freedom? No, it’s the opposite. They support a tyrant, a guy who promised he wants to suspend the Constitution, and a guy who has said I’m going to start arresting people after I’m elected president of the United States.”
