After the CDC announced revised guidelines on masks, Congress’ Attending Physician said that House members are once again required to mask up in the Capitol.
Some Republicans have railed against the guidance, and per multiple reports Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R- CO) threw a mask back at a staffer who offered one.
“Rep. Boebert refuses to comply with Speaker Pelosi’s anti-science, totalitarian mask mandate. When offered a mask, she returned it with a quick slide across the table,” Boebert office says. (A witness said she threw it back at staffer’s face)

Additionally, there was a clash between one Democrat and one Republican outside the House floor over the mask mandate.
According to CNN congressional reporter Daniella Diaz, Congressman Jared Huffman (D- CA) confronted Congressman Byron Donalds (R- FL) for not wearing a mask and called him selfish. Donalds reportedly responded, “Don’t be worried about me! Mind your business!”
Reps. Jared Huffman and Byron Donalds just got in a yelling fight outside the House floor.
Huffman (wearing a mask) yelled at Donalds and said he was selfish for not wearing a mask.
Donalds yelled back: “Don’t be worried about me! Mind your business!”

Huffman retweeted that after tweeting, “I just had to take a different elevator because an unvaccinated, defiantly unmasked GOP colleague doesn’t give a sh*t about anyone but himself.”

Donalds also acknowledged the spat on Twitter, saying Huffman was “patronizing me for being a free-thinking American.”
Adding @JaredHuffman to the growing list of privileged liberals patronizing me for being a free-thinking American.

The exchange continued on Twitter, with Huffman saying again he’s “being selfish.”
No, just for being selfish. And rationalizing it in a way that’s scientificallh, factually and morally wrong.

The real epidemic in America is liberals continuing to tell free people how to think.
