Trump Blows Off Shouting Reporters — Skips Daily Rant Before Court As Jury Prepares To Decide His Fate
Former President Donald Trump and his defense team filed past shouting reporters, skipping the customary pre-court rant on arguably the most important day of the trial.
Tuesday saw the beginning and conclusion of lengthy closing arguments in the Stormy Daniels hush money-election interference trial — setting the table for the 34 felony counts to go to the jury for deliberations.
Cameras followed Trump everywhere Wednesday morning, from Trump Tower to the Manhattan courthouse where Judge Juan Merchan would instruct the jury as they weigh Trump’s guilt or innocence.
While Trump can be counted on to stop and rattle off a familiar menu of patter — much of it false — on his way into and out of court, Wednesday was a notable exception.
Instead, as reporters tried to engage him, Trump walked past with a wave and a raised fist, and did not respond or stop to speak.
After Judge Merchan instructs the jury, they will deliberate and could render a verdict before the end of the week.
