5 Killed After Shooting at Mall in Burlington, WA (UPDATED)


There was an active shooter situation at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington earlier tonight and four people have been killed.

A WSPD spokesman has tweeted out updates from the scene, including confirmation of the four deaths:

Roads have been closed nearby as authorities are searching for the shooter:

Authorities evacuated people from the mall earlier tonight.

The search is currently ongoing in and outside the mall.

UPDATE –– 11:40 pm ET: According to one report someone claiming to be the shooter is negotiating with the police:

UPDATE –– 12:05 am ET: EMS crews are on the scene and people who were at the mall are being brought to a nearby church.

UPDATE: The death toll has now risen to five, and the shooter is still at large.
