Chuck Grassley Really Should Have Double-Checked This Iowa State Fair Photo Before Posting It

An innocent photo of Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) at the Iowa State Fair raised a few eyebrows over the weekend after a man wearing a lewd T-shirt was spotted in the background.

“My compliments to the sheep barn at the Iowa state fair for having warm water when u wash ur hands Pretty nice,” the 92-year-old posted on Friday from the annual event.

But what’s not “pretty nice” is a man in the background wearing a shirt emblazoned with the words, “I ❤️ sl*ts.”

As of Monday, the post has nearly 5 million views on X, with most replies pointing out the bearded guy in the background with the unique choice of outerwear.

There are also a few memes, including one of Grassley wearing the offending shirt.

Despite all the attention, the post remains on X as of Monday afternoon.

A spokesman for Grassley did not immediately return a request for comment from Mediaite.

Grassley, the oldest member of Congress who turns 93 next month, has been the subject of numerous headlines this year, from his questioning of FBI Director Kash Patel to leading the charge against former special counsel Jack Smith, whom he accused of accessing numerous text messages of various members of Congress.
