Huckabee Rips Obama’s ‘Classless’ and ‘Anti-Chrisitan’ LGBT Invites For Pope’s Reception
Mike Huckabee has joined the latest President Obama pile-on by saying that the White House’s invitation of a transgender activist and gay priest to Pope Francis‘s reception was blatantly “anti-Christian:”
Classless decision by @POTUS to transform @Pontifex visit into a politicized cattle call is an insult to millions of Catholics #PopeInUS
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) September 21, 2015
.@POTUS show of disrespect for @Pontifex is a new low for an admin that will go down as most anti-Christian in American history #PopeInUS
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) September 21, 2015
Why is it that @POTUS goes to extremes to accommodate Muslim terrorists but shows nothing but disdain for Christians? #PopeInUS

The Supreme Pontiff’s visit to the capital tomorrow is already gathering significant attention, for the pope will be speaking before guests on the South Lawn, and will be the first pope to ever speak before Congress.
Huckabee’s statements follow those issued by the Vatican, Bill Donohue, and others about how the guest list includes people whose views do not fall in line with the traditional beliefs of the Church. Josh Earnest declined to respond directly when asked about Huckabee’s assertions, but said that Obama has no interest in injecting politics into the event.
Just two days ago Huckabee went after Obama for nominating an openly gay man to be Army Secretary, saying that “President Obama is more interested in appeasing America’s homosexuals than honoring America’s heroes.”
